My mom called me today to tell me through all her tears that my cat Bridget had to be put to sleep due to liver problems, she was only 10. She hadn't been herself the past few days, she hadn't been eating (which says something since she was like 15lbs), she had been vomiting and just acting really tired. Its really hard knowing that I couldn't be there for my pretty girl.
Bridget had been in my life since I was 9, she was a gift from my Aunt April whom I hardly ever see due to complications in her life. She followed me everywhere always, loved kneading in my hair to make a nest so she could then sleep on my head. She was double pawed, her feet where awesome, so many toes. She didn't suffer, she wasn't in pain, she was spoiled like all my other cats. She got goats milk every morning from my mom's cereal. She was a wonderful cat, the queen of the roost, as my mom would call her. She kept our other 4 cats and the dog in line, and she was very good at it too! XD She had so much sass and personality it was unreal. I know for a fact the last time I saw her I gave her a kiss while hugging her and told her I loved her and that she was my pretty girl, and that will never change. She'll always be my pretty girl.
This is my favorite photo.

With my feet on the dash, the world doesn't matter.
When you feel embarrassed then I' ll be your pride
When you need directions then I'll be the guide
For all time.
For all time
